Описание

Colorcem Desactivante is a liquid surface retarder for concrete or mortar. When applied to fresh concrete, it delays the setting and hydration of the cement in the surface layer. After washing with pressurized water, the aggregate remains exposed, producing exposed aggregate concrete.

The range includes 8 water-based retarders that are harmless to the user. The different types vary in the depth of their action and are identified by their color: from P01 (acidic) to P08, with a depth of 7 mm.

The type should be selected so that the depth of action is about one third of the largest aggregate size. For improved cohesion and workability of the concrete, the manufacturer recommends POLIFIB synthetic fibers.

Начин на употреба

1. The concrete must be thoroughly homogenized. Level it with a screed or float, using brief vibration if necessary. Excessive vibration brings fine particles to the surface and causes the mix to segregate.

2. The type and dosage of cement affect the setting time: faster-setting cement or a mix with a higher cement content reduces the depth of action, so a trial is necessary. More fine particles produce a more exposed surface.

3. Before starting, carry out a test spray on surfaces adjacent to the fresh concrete to check that any stains can be cleaned off easily.

4. Do not apply when there are standing puddles of water. Wait approximately 30 minutes after removing the formwork. Stir the product until homogeneous.

5. Spray evenly using a sprayer with a 0.79 mm nozzle at a pressure of 2–4 bar, at a rate of 1 L per 6–7 m².

6. Wash the surface with water at a pressure of 100–150 bar: for P04, P05, P06 and P07, after 5–24 hours depending on the climate; for the other types, after 3–18 hours. Hold the nozzle 20–40 cm from the surface at a 45° angle.

7. In strong wind and direct sunlight, wash after 12 hours at temperatures below 35 °C, or after 4–8 hours at temperatures above 35 °C. Do not pour concrete at temperatures above 35 °C.

8. The depth depends on the dosage and type of cement, the water–cement ratio, workability and climate, so always carry out a trial on a test area under site conditions.
